On March 11, the Luxembourg Business Angel Network (LBAN) held its Annual General Assembly, kindly hosted by Banque de Luxembourg.

The meeting provided members with an overview of LBAN’s activities and achievements over the past year, including investment activity, sector trends, pitching sessions, and collaborations within the Luxembourg startup ecosystem. These initiatives included mentorship programmes, participation in startup juries, and partnerships with key ecosystem stakeholders.

LBAN also strengthened its European presence through participation in leading startup fairs and ecosystem events, helping to expand connections with international investors and attract new investment opportunities to Luxembourg.

To date, LBAN members have collectively invested nearly €65 million in around 170 startups. The network currently brings together more than 200 active business angels who invest approximately €6–8 million annually, supporting around 15 startups each year. In 2025, LBAN organised 11 pitching sessions and welcomed approximately 70 startups to present to its members. In addition, the network remained active in the wider innovation ecosystem through participation in events such as Venture Days, Nexus, and other industry initiatives, while continuing its efforts to represent and advocate for the interests of business angels.

Board Update

After serving two years on the Board and leading several important initiatives within LBAN, Ronaldo Rossi stepped down from his role. The Board and the entire LBAN community would like to sincerely thank him for his valuable contributions during his tenure. Ronaldo will continue to remain an active member of the network.

LBAN is pleased to welcome two new members to the Board.

Olaf Kordes brings more than 25 years of experience in Private Equity, having deployed funds across Europe and globally through portfolio companies. Since 2023, he has focused on managing three Luxembourg-based family offices. Olaf joined LBAN in 2024 and has since completed ten angel or growth investments, including six through LBAN. He is particularly interested in sharing his experience with fellow members and fostering active discussions that strengthen knowledge sharing within the network.

Serge Borg has spent the last 20 years accompanying large and complex organizations in profoundly and sustainably transforming their cultures. He has coached executives and steering committees to navigate uncertainty with greater confidence.

He is driven by the innovative economy generated through scaling startups and is passionate about technology, particularly quantum technologies. A member of LBAN since 2023, he also actively supports startups within the network.

At the General Assembly, members unanimously approved the composition of the Board for 2026.
