On December 8th, LBAN hosted its flagship annual Early-Stage Investment Summit, bringing together investors, entrepreneurs and innovation structures, from Luxembourg, Greater Region and beyond. Early-stage Investment Summit (EIS) offers the opportunity to hear from sought-after speakers during the summit. Different thematic panels were brought to the audience by experts of their area. EIS is also an excellent opportunity to get to know the network members, meet new faces in the industry and stay connected with the investor network. We had the honor of welcoming Luxembourg Minister of Finance, Yuriko Backes to conclude the event and show the support to the entrepreneurial ecosystem. In the closing remarks the Minister addressed the importance of early stage & pre-seed funding being the key to getting ideas off the ground and transformed into viable companies. The keynote speaker Uli Grabenwarter, Deputy Director, Equity Investments & Guarantees at European Investment Fund addressed the role of EIF in fostering the emergence of early-stage investors. Uli Grabenwarter also remarked the Luxembourg early-stage venture ecosystem being developed over recent years, LBAN has over these years accelerated its investments in the ecosystem. The strong collaboration across all actors is needed to support the success of the young innovative enterprises in our ecosystem. We would like to thank to all speakers who contributed to making the EIS a success. You can check them out here.
